the youngest of six, born in 1977 & raised in the suburbs of canarsie ( brooklyn, new york ) . Jolene was born to aliceon and Douglas Abagnale, partly named after the hit Dolly Parton song and partly after her great-grandmother. Jolene was a child of divorce, raised in the winter and fall by a narcissistic mother and the summer and spring by a bipolar father. her childhood was filled with fights, family deaths, and degrading comments galore.
being the youngest of six (and with all five of her siblings choosing careers in 'lucrative' fields), Jolene was fighting an uphill battle. in an attempt to win her parent's favor, she pursued biology and economics in college, then taking some additional training and working as a pharmacist aide.

New Year’s Day, 2000. a new year, a new millennium. she wasn’t even 25 yet and she was totally rethinking her life and career. leaving her degrees on the shelf, along with the familial baggage, Jolene moved from New York to Los Angeles, taking up a paid internship at stark industries.this continued on up until 2007, when she received her first promotion, and started working full time ( leaving her occasional portrait work for holidays & weekends).from 2007 on, jolene remained a fixture of the public facing dealings of stark tower. any person who ventured through the glass paneled doors ( visitor, staff, or otherwise ) would have encountered her in one way or another, and her bubbly personality & her mile a minute mouth made quite the impression. ten years in, and she earns a second promotion, taking over as a personal assistant to tony stark while pepper handles the more big picture dealings of stark / avengers tower.timeline portrayal exists sometime after the events of avengers endgame, post blip. jolene can be written during any time period, however, upon request!
